ISCA Company-Wide Foundation Solar Panel Cleaning (SPCT) Training

The Common Question:  “Can you make the certificate out to my company?”

We hear this frequently—and the answer is: not as a competence certificate.

If a company has 10 technicians, but only one person completes training, ISCA cannot ethically or defensibly certify that the other nine are competent. Competence is individual.

Instead, ISCA provides two separate, professional outputs—one for the business record, and one for each trained person.

What you receive (company vs individual)

1) Company Training Confirmation (Annual)

Issued to the employer and valid for 12 months, confirming:

• ISCA delivered onsite foundation training on the stated date and location

• A named roster of attendees is attached (or recorded by ISCA)

• The syllabus and learning outcomes delivered

• A clear statement that non-attendees are not covered by this confirmation

2) Individual Certificates (Competency-Based)

Issued only to named participants who:

• Meet the attendance requirement

• Pass the knowledge check

This protects your company, protects your clients, and preserves the credibility of the ISCA credential.

Foundation Curriculum

Your workforce will be trained to a consistent baseline that can be applied across residential and commercial solar cleaning.

Core modules typically include:

• How a PV system works

• PV cleaning hazards (including voltage levels on solar arrays & basic electrical risk awareness for cleaners)

• Safe methods of work

• Cable and connector awareness: avoiding common damage and electrocution risk triggers

• Working at height fundamentals

• Unique cleaning requirements and issues for residential, commercial & agricultural arrays

• Reporting basic: photographic reporting standards and “what to record”

• PV Cleaning Controls & P.P.E. – How To Avoid Electrocution

• Stop-work authority and near-miss reporting culture

Optional add-ons (common for commercial teams):

• Documentation alignment (job packs, toolbox talks, JHA/JSA approach)

• ISCA Advanced PV Fire Safety training & certification

Training Format (Practical and Assessable)

This is not generic classroom training. ISCA delivery is designed to be observable, assessable, and recordable.

Format includes:

• Instructor-led briefing (policy, hazards, controls, method)

• Practical demonstrations and station-based participation

• Short knowledge check (recorded)

• Company-specific Q&A to standardize your internal approach

Duration: 1 day onsite

Tier 1 — $2,500 (Up to 12 attendees)

• 1-day onsite training

• Annual Company Training Confirmation + roster

• Individual certificates for attendees who pass assessment

Tier 2 — $3,500 (Up to 24 attendees)

• Same deliverables

• Station-based practical format to preserve assessment integrity

Tier 3 — $4,500 (Up to 36 attendees)

• Same deliverables

• May require split sessions and/or additional instructional support depending on site conditions

Travel & expenses:

Training fee includes travel & lodging.  Lunch to be provided by venue host.  If your company does not have a suitable training venue, we can arrange this at an additional cost.

• A practical area suitable for demonstrations and assessment

• Basic welfare arrangements (restroom access, water, etc.)
