The International Solar Cleaning Academy (ISCA) made history on November 14th and 15th, 2024, by hosting the world’s first solar panel cleaning convention at Solar Clean USA’s headquarters in Las Vegas. This pioneering event brought together professionals from across the globe to learn, connect, and celebrate the rapidly evolving solar panel cleaning industry.

 

A Packed Two-Day Education and Training Program

Attendees were treated to an intensive two-day program filled with expert-led sessions.  Day one opened with Operations Director of Clean Solar Solutions America, Kevin Hargis, introducing Steve Williams, founder of ISCA.  Steve opened by speaking on the unexpected but fascinating subject of tribes, highlighting the need for unity, standardization and improvement within the solar panel cleaning industry globally.

Thereafter followed a series of speakers, each educating the audience on their speciality field.  Standout highlights was a presentation from Jan & Diana Klimes from Solar Clean Techs about the safe use of rotary brushes when cleaning solar panels on roofs and how to successfully market your business and brand by Kim Verduyckt.

Throughout the day there were practical demonstrations, and networking opportunities. The agenda covered essential topics such as safety protocols, advanced cleaning techniques, and the latest innovations in solar cleaning equipment.

Day two featured specialized training led by Steve Williams and Mike Draper of Expert Safety Services. Their engaging sessions focused on safety essentials, including working at height and live electricity protocols. Adding a dash of humor to the day, Mike Draper surprised attendees by upgrading his wardrobe to match Steve’s signature loud shirts—a stylish twist that went down a storm!

The most sought-after honor, Global Solar Cleaning Contractor of the Year, was awarded to Puerto Rico-based UV Protek, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the industry.

The awards night was a true celebration of innovation, excellence, and dedication, with winners taking the stage to much applause and admiration from their peers.
